Karl Burke remains in no rush to toss Zeus Olympios in at the deep end in spite of an excellent success in the very best Odds On The Betfair Exchange Superior Mile at Haydock.

Burke, who saddled Holloway Boy to declare this prize 12 months back, said of his newest victor: "He's constantly worked nicely and William said after a furlong he knew he was on an extremely good horse.


"He's a lovely horse with a terrific mind, but I was a bit anxious whether I was doing the best thing dropping him in this grade on his third run. He ran quite green at Thirsk last time.


"He had an implemented break not long after he pertained to us and all he did last winter season was improve physically, he's done the very same this summertime once we've got him going and I think he'll enhance once again from three to 4 with another winter on his back."

Considering future plans, the Spigot Lodge added: "He's won a Group Three now so he can't reverse from that, however I don't really wish to toss him in too deep yet.


"I'll have an appearance and see what's available, however I know there's not a lot available over a mile.


"I certainly wouldn't believe we'll travel him (abroad) this winter season, however I'll have to have a chat with Sheikh Mohammed Obaid (owner) and see where we go."
