Early in 2025, BBC Investigations Correspondent Noel Titheradge released his first story about a classification of prescription drug with unusual .


People who take dopamine agonist drugs for conditions like Parkinson's illness or Restless Legs Syndrome often report impulse control conditions - issues with betting, compulsive eating or shopping, or hypersexuality.


He wasn't anticipating the response. After that very first post was published more than 200 people contacted us - that's me, they said, that's my partner, that's my daddy.
