'It's Unreal' Say Hull KR Fans In Las Vegas

Countless Hull Kingston Rovers fans have gotten here in Las Vegas ahead of the team's Super League clash with Leeds Rhinos later.


Supporters from both sides required to the Strip, the primary street in the US betting capital.


Life-long fan Richard Major the concept of the Robins playing in Vegas as "definitely unreal".


The previous soldier has actually supported the team for more than 30 years and flew to Nevada from his home in North Yorkshire.


"All those years of following them around and like most of the time getting walloped, to be truthful, and not being great, not expecting a lot," he stated.


"And then to come full circle and now to be world champs and be playing in Vegas. It's quite unbelievable, to be truthful."


Another fan made the journey with his household from Sydney.


Simon Latus matured in east Hull and emigrated to Australia in 2020. He stated living Down Under implied not being able to see the Robins play, so when the match was announced he grabbed the chance to go.


"This is never going to take place again," he said.


"Rovers in Vegas is a crazy concept in itself, just even saying those words seems a bit insane.


"So I think simply making that effort of the thousands of dollars on the flight and bringing the household across, my other half and my child. I simply believe it's one of those where you just can't say no to it."


Latus said he was delighting in taking in the environment in the desert city with "countless red and white everywhere".


Another Sydney-based advocate, Leonard Gregory, stated it was "the quickest distance I have actually ever taken a trip for a Robins' home game".


Gregory became interested in the team after he and his wife visited Craven Park throughout the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.


He flew from Australia to watch the team win the Grand Final in 2015.


"When it got announced that we were going, we booked the flight quickly," he stated.


"We 'd never ever been here. It's most likely whatever that America remains in a microcosm and it's simply, it's surreal."
